Update: August 7th, 2013- "What's to come next"

Hello everyone!

 As you have probably noticed, I haven't updated the blog in a couple weeks but I have some big things coming. For one, I've totally changed my technique of drawing the Human head and figure and am working on updating my new demo reel with plenty of new animated shots.

 I start school August 20th so by then I will both a new reel and portfolio done. Even though I will be busy this school year,I'll continue to update this blog and work on my drawing and animating skills. I'll be applying to colleges in 2 years so I gotta keep working and improving.

4 Day Weekend and 11 Second Club Update 10/27/12

Hey Everyone!

This four day weekend has been great. Got a lot of work done, been getting ready for the winter sports season, ALMOST done with the 11secondclub, raked a bunch of leaves, and made a video for my dad's birthday.

Did tons and still relaxed. It's been great, makes me miss summer!

Tomorrow will bring some sketches and another 11 second club update hopefully!

A Four Day Weekend is Coming... Update 10/21/12

Hi!

I'm going to spare my sob story, I'm busy. This weekend flew by me quicker than Hammy from Over the Hedge with an energy drink. 

Yet, the good news is that I have a 4 and 1/2 day weekend coming up, YAYYYYYYY

Expect to see some tweaked 11 second club animation(s), a jack-o-lantern I'm working on, and some flash tests.

Swamped With School 10/15/12

Hey guys

Just an update...

I'm swamped with school right now but I'm still working on the 11 Second Club. I added lights, re worked the timing, added clothes to the rigs, new background.

All that's left on it is to tweak the lip sync and add some background paintings.

I also picked up a copy of HOW TO CHEAT IN MAYA 2012 for my birthday. I flipped through it and read some of the chapters, looks awesome and there's some great resources on the how to cheat in maya site. Just need some solid time to start and go through it.

The time between homework/studying for tests is getting physically prepared for some basketball but I still sneak in some 2D animation and 11 second club work, I recently did a leaf animation and a ball bounce that turned into character animation. Expect to see these this weekend. I don't have the willpower to render/finalize these animations at 11:30pm at night knowing I have Geometry in 9 hours so they'll have to wait 'till the weekend.

UPDATE: 4/26/12

Hi there everyone!

Whats the new update today? Nothing much unfortunately. I haven't animated much recently other than just goofy stuff on my brother's iPad except this:

Its pretty rough animation but the point of doing this was to prove to myself that I am able to animate over a video. I am going to do this a lot come summer time.

Anyways. I haven't animated for a while. I've been pretty busy wrapping up school + sports. I've drawn a fair amount but those are just little doodles on the margins of my notebooks. I have about 3-4 weeks left until schools out. Until then, unfortunately, I will be animating just a little. I have a few major exams that I need to pass and some pretty big projects to wrap up. So I will be out of my animation desk for a bit :( but come summer, that's when I'll get back into it again and I'll make some new short films... IronDuck 3? Maybe :) 

Summer... that leads us into my next point...

This summer I want to become a great animator. I want to take a leap in animation/illustration/storytelling/etc. So I am looking for a mentor or an animation program. I'd be willing to pay.. If you have any ideas or are interested, email me at toonyanimator@gmail.com

Update: 3/20/12

Hey there everyone!

Its been a while since I last updated. I am working on the 11 second club animation so I've been busy with that. I also lost my iPad stylus so I couldn't draw sketches to share but I got a new one and will be sharing sketches!

Also, I started a new flash cartoon without a name but it has to do with a boy who wants to fly, I'll share some of that stuff soon.
