Finally, Christmas break! Its been a good semester but a busy one. Finished the Studio Technique class, the 2 University art classes, and the drawing class I had in my highschool. I've learned a lot this semester and as always have lots of work to do. Anyways, here are a couple of drawings I haven't posted within the past month. Enjoy! And prepare for some more posting now that I have two weeks off for the holiday break!

Studio Technique Figure Drawing I: Final Assignment

Just finished and uploaded my final assignment for my figure drawing I class with Studio-Technique. No doubt one of the best art classes I've taken- the class system, teacher, students, course work were all great and I really enjoyed and learned a lot these past 10 weeks. I'd really recommend Studio-Technique to any artist. Anyways, here was my final assignment.

Tuesday Night Figure Class

Here are two drawings from my Tuesday night class with Philip Salamone. This is week 3. He is one of the best artists I've ever had a teacher. Very knowledgeable and insightful- I'm learning a lot when it comes to classical figure drawing and longer poses.

National Portfolio Day Weekend 2014

Hi there! This past weekend was National Portfolio Day at MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art/Design) and SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago). Once again, the weekend was great- lots of very good advice and met with some new and old friends. Here are the schools I went to:

Saturday NPD at MIAD
Ringling College
Rhode Island School of Design
School of Visual Arts
MIAD
SAIC
Maryland Institute of the Arts
Columbus College of Art/Design

Sunday NPD at SAIC
CalArts (California Institute of the Arts)

I received a great portfolio review (that was 35min) from Ringling on Saturday and two reviews from CalArts on Sunday (Waited in line for 2 hours for the 2 reviews- worth it!). I just need to keep going with some new minor things in mind. Hoping to visit Sheridan College this spring too.

(Bold are the schools I'm planning on applying to next year for animation)

Here is the portfolio that I showed to admissions reviewers:

and then I also included my animation reel!
