In a tweet by Chris Chua, animator at Pixar and CalArts grad (who is one of the animators I look up to) gave some great advice:
Chris Chua
"Animators, take time to plan, thumbnail and shoot video reference. You'll thank yourself later!"
So decided to do exactly this.

Planning:
Rough Animation:
Cleaned Up
Through this process I learned the importance of planning, I've begun to use reference more and more but before usually never planned an animation out on paper before animating. This experience has 'convinced' me to always plan out the poses and timing before actually animating and I plan on doing this always.
Thanks for reading!
Good lessons and great animation! :)
